The appointment and creation of four additional emirates in Kano state was on Thursday, November 21, nullified by a state high court.
Delivering the verdict, Justice Usman Na’abba, the presiding judge, declared the creation of the four emirates did not follow due process, Channels TV reports.
Recall that the creation of the additional emirates had been trailed by controversy as many condemned it.
Legit.ng reported that Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Sunday, July 7, said that the new additional four emirates in the state had come to stay .
The governor stated this when he paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Rano, Alhaji (Dr) Tafida Abubakar (Autan Bawo), over the death of his son, Aliyu Tafida, who lived for 20 years.

Legit.ng gathered that the governor also said his administration would upgrade the general hospitals located within the headquarters of each of the four newly created emirates to 400 beds capacity, so as to improve the health delivery system.
He said: “My administration is determined to make people understand the viability and necessity for such new Emirates. One of it is our intention to move the health care delivery system to a more progressive level."
According to the governor, Kano is now one of the states that have the best healthcare delivery system.
