Nigeria Printed The First Digital BankNote In The World (here's how)
Nigerian is been know for some bad things like internet fraud and what have you but there are few exceptional things Nigeria has achieved in history thats been supressed by the bad. This is one of them. Nigeria was the first country to print a digital banknote. Sounds funny how our technology could be that high right? Well, we actually did. In 2014 under the government of the then CBN governor (Emefiele), Nigeria printed her first electronic banknote. This note was #100 note. It has a barcode at the back of the note that when scanned, can show you information about Nigeria, the present president, the natural resources in Nigeria and every great detials you would want to know about Nigeria. This came as a surprise to the world that Nigeria which is considered as backwards in things like this could pull it off first in the world.
